Task

The customer needed a country recreation marketplace in Belarus: estates, cottages and recreation centers with reservations directly from the owners, without intermediaries and commissions. The key requirements are a quick search by dates, regions, and type of facility, owners' offices for managing facilities and a calendar, and launching in one season.

Decision

We divided the project into the Laravel API and the Nuxt (Vue) client application, so the site is indexed as regular HTML, and the interface works as an application. The search for objects was carried out in Meilisearch: filters by region, dates, capacity and amenities are worked out in milliseconds, typos in names do not interfere. Redis has taken over the issue cache and booking notification queues.

The owners of the facilities received an office with an employment calendar, seasonal prices and photos; guests received a search, place cards and reservations with confirmation.

Result

The platform was launched in three months. At the start, the database contains more than 1,200 objects from six regions of Belarus, with an average score of 4.9. The API + Nuxt architecture allows you to connect a mobile application without rewriting the backend.
